Knee replacement is the process of replacing damaged or worn natural joint surfaces on the knee joint with artificial implants.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knee prostheses are generally divided into two main categories: &#8220;total knee replacement&#8221; (TDP) or &#8220;half knee replacement&#8221; (unicondylar prosthesis). A total knee replacement replaces all surfaces on the knee joint, while a half knee replacement replaces only the damaged part. The prostheses are made of durable materials such as titanium, ceramic or plastic and have a design that mimics natural joint movements.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knee replacement surgery can be a preferred option for patients to relieve pain, restore mobility and improve quality of life.
