Cleansing your skin for surgery
Prof. Dr. Selami Çakmak
and his team are at your side with personalized and high-level diagnosis and treatment methods in solving your orthopedic problems. Each patient is special and our main principle is to solve their problems as soon as possible with the best method.
With more than 20 years of experience, we serve with modern surgical techniques and prosthetic materials using the latest technological developments. In addition to your treatment, we also plan your long-term follow-up and physical therapy program, which is as important as surgery. Respect for the patient is our most fundamental professional responsibility.

1. What to do before surgery
- Consultation with your doctor: Have a detailed discussion with your doctor before surgery. Learn about the surgical process, risks and expectations.
- Medical Tests: Get all necessary medical tests done. Blood tests, ECG and other tests will be ordered by your doctor.
- Medication Use: Follow your doctor’s instructions about which medicines you should take or stop taking.
2. Nutrition and Diet
Preoperative Diet: You may need to fast for a certain period of time before surgery. Do not eat after the time specified by your doctor.
Fluid Consumption: Preoperative fluid consumption may also be limited. Follow your doctor's instructions on this.
3. Physical Preparation
Exercises: You may need to do certain exercises before surgery. These exercises will speed up your recovery after surgery.
Physical Therapy If necessary, attend physical therapy sessions before surgery.
4. Psychological Preparation
Relaxation Techniques: Learn and practice relaxation techniques to reduce your stress before surgery.
Support Get support from family and friends. It is important that you do not feel alone before the operation.
5th Surgery Day
Clothing Wear comfortable clothes on the day of surgery. Remove jewelry and other accessories.
Personal Belongings: Take the necessary personal belongings with you to the hospital. Don't forget your ID card, insurance card and any other documents the doctor specifies.
Your treatment process does not end with surgery. Long-term follow-up and physical therapy are an important part of your recovery. After surgery, you should regularly participate in the physical therapy program determined by your doctor.
